Amma's ashram is a sacred place for many, open to visitors of all kinds. It's also the international headquarters of Embracing the World, Amma's humanitarian branch.
Amma is known as 'the hugging saint' and has personally embraced more than 40 million people during her lifetime. She spends much of her time travelling around the world, so it's best to call the ashram in advance to find out her schedule if you want to see her.
There is also an Amma's Ashram in Carrum Downs on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia. This centre is a popular place for anyone interested in Amma and her spiritual teachings.
