MONEY is needed. Generous people have donated goods and there are enough now. Thank you. Donations of cash will be needed for months and years to come. Thank you, everyone. Every dollar helps. Fires and horrific weather are still impacting in Australia. I have it on good authority that the fires will continue for months - possibly until May. Our problems are a long, long way from over. We may also expect tornadoes and floods. Food shortages are already being experienced. Trucks can't get access to some dairies and farmers are pouring millions of litres of milk on the ground after milking. *** PLEASE GROW FOOD - PLEASE SAVE SEEDS and if possible hugely expand your home veggie gardens and organise or get involved in food-producing community gardens.

Often the best we can do is stay glued to the ABC, ring people we know in harm’s way, and then give to charity. I sent my suggestion to the ABC TV Morning Show on 6:1:2020 Massive and tragic LOSSES OF CROPS, VEGETABLES, FRUIT, AND LIVESTOCK have already begun to affect food availability. Shortages of fuel and inaccessibility to certain roads make it impossible for drivers to get 'just in time' orders like fresh produce to their destinations. Bread and milk will become unavailable in places due to grain and loss of cows and dairy farms. PLEASE don't wait for AUTHORITIES to organise food production. Encourage as many householders as possible to plant vegetables, fruit and herbs in their BACK and FRONT GARDENS and COMMUNITY GARDENS if they have sufficient water to do so. Donations of organic seeds, money to purchase seeds and gardening machinery and tools lost to fire and drought will be immediate needs. The LNP Coalition Government has slashed ABC - The Australian Broadcasting Commission's funding yet what would we do without their exceptional work during these national disasters of fire and drought? Their coverage has been essential and exceptional. In many places the only access to information by wind up-radio for those who have lost homes, communications and power to run their devices. I'm calling in the Government to IMMEDIATELY DOUBLE FUNDING TO THE AUSTRALIAN ABC so they can continue and expand their work and programs unimpeded by lack of funds ... then to triple and quadruple funding for operational costs, cultural programs, increased staffing and more.
People in every state will be going entirely back to the drawing board. We're going to need visionaries, innovators and all manner of people of goodwill and action. I expect massive PTSD as the shock of the losses due to these disasters continue growing.
I also feel retirees and the aged will be of invaluable assistance with the skills they can offer. New enlightened management will be essential. We're seeing numerous ones of those exemplary leaders now on the ground, in print and on our screens - and sadly others who continue to let us down. Here's how you can volunteer and donate to the Australian Red Cross Climate Refugees need housing, support and basics. It's lovely to see families housing homeless family members and friends. Tens of thousands have been ordered to leave their homes for evacuation centres. Some are sleeping in parking lots, beaches, and the rooms offered by kind strangers. Statistics reveal 11.2% of homes in Australia are unoccupied. These, along with thousands of vacant churches and church and government properties could go a long way to housing hundreds of thousands of newly homeless and traumatised people. Those with empty rooms and caravans may also consider offering their spaces too as many have already done.
We have the solutions and expertise to establish alternatives. Now we desperately need enlightened leadership to take over and develop entirely new laws and industries. I'm sure most of us have viable ideas.
I am quoting Phillip Adams 'Australia: where the leaderless lead the leaden leaders' - Is there ONE among the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT who has and is showing initiative, support and leadership? Anyone from the front bench? Backbench? If there are, I've missed them. They're either holidaying, hopeless, at the cricket or partying. They are puppets of the corporations. No question. I'd like to see the Governor-General dissolve the current LNP government for their nepotism, incompetence and possible corruption. Meanwhile, extraordinary professionals and Everyday Heroes fill our news with their courageous, compassionate and tireless work. They're exhausted and stressed yet they show up day after day, week after week, month after month. Among these experts and ordinary 'extraordinary' people, we will find the new inspiring leaders. Perhaps thirty or so wise ones could form a Council of Elders to rule in unity with the ALP and Greens? We know the problems all too well. We must keep expressing our solutions. I'm certainly open to your practical ideas. Everyday Heroes are changing the world with new inventions, new farming practices, new solutions to the climate emergency, and respectful coexistence with Nature. Talk among your friends. The Westminster system is obsolete and doesn't work. Let's find new ways. Our lives may depend on it. We have the solutions and expertise to establish alternatives. I'm calling 2020 The Year of Kindness in Action 2019 saw unimaginable cruelty, apathy, ignorance and corruption worldwide that filled the headlines way before the goodwill and positive breakthroughs ever had a chance. Readers of my blog are aware that we are shifting paradigms by raising our frequency with a lot of help from influxes of consciousness-raising cosmic energies and influences. Can we do it? Can humanity evolve this year, or will we plummet and slide inexorably into a sixth extinction? I'm hopeful and positive. So many are working tirelessly on their further awakening, well-being, creativity and progress while tragically others let down the team with their torturous brutality, narcissistic self-absorption and disregard for life. These are the ones who are NOT 'doing the best they can'. Everyone can learn to curb destructive reactions and ruthless behaviour. Everyone can learn to think through their decision-making and actions to at least three logical and possible outcomes. Everyone can decide to 'choose again'. Are YOU an ARMCHAIR CRITIC? 2019 was a year of exceptional antagonism. Are YOU addicted to negativity, argument and struggle? Are YOU a glass-half-full or a glass-overflowing kind of person? What do you hope to achieve by criticising and complaining? Social media shows how 'Dumping Criticism' has become a mean-spirited GLOBAL SPORT. Disapproval and put-downs cripple self-worth, positive change and lasting advancement. If your behaviour is horrible and your values are rotten - STOP IT! Only kindness and committed action by everyone can bring the hoped-for changes. Ask yourself where have you done well and succeeded. Ask yourself what you are most pleased about your achievements and life to date.
ARE YOU WILLING TO LEARN NEW SKILLS? You can research how you can change destructive behaviour. You have to WANT to. Type into search - 'How to stop negative thoughts and habits?' Choose from half a billion sites to help progress the situation. Listen to yourself. Make an effort. Please do it! Find unique ways to excel in astute observation and sincere feedback. ASK YOURSELF: What do I hope to achieve by making this criticism or complaint? Am I making am assumption without all the necessary information? Is it fair and well-intended? Am I sweating the small stuff? How can I be more KIND? How can I put my passions into further ACTION? ENQUIRE of OTHERS - DON'T ASSUME or EXPECT THEM to MIND-READ Craft a thoughtful question and enquire directly to the source of your disapproval if possible. ASK your question and LISTEN deeply and DISCUSS with care. DO: STOP fighting, lying, complaining, bullying, and overindulging. Clarify YOUR SOLUTIONS and SHARE those rather than criticising, blaming and shaming. Find behaviours to APPRECIATE and ACKNOWLEDGE and SHARE them directly. Prepare yourself and loved ones for a possible Great Shift in Consciousness. I hope you have a truly spectacular 2020. Let's ALL UNITE and WORK TOGETHER to make this an exceedingly HAPPY NEW YEAR.
