On 28 February, the United States and Israel struck Iran – in the midst of negotiations. Not as a last resort, but as a vile decision.
No imminent nuclear threat. No urgent necessity. Just another step towards a wider war. This is about Zionist ambition for more land to realise their dream of a 'Greater Israel', and Trump and his warmongering cohorts fell for it.
We have heard these justifications before – weapons of mass destruction, imminent danger, necessary strikes – and we know where they led: to endless conflict and shattered nations.
Once again, innocent people will pay the price.
Children, parents, and communities caught beneath the bombs.
Soldiers sent to fight and die.
People, cities, and livelihoods reduced to dust.
US citizens were promised a president who would end wars, not start new ones.
History will not judge strength by the number of missiles fired, but by the courage to choose peace when war is easier.
Human lives are not strategy.
War is not peace.
And this did not have to happen.
It could become a horrific world war, with Iran's allies and the US and Israel's allies joining in.
