Akiane Kramarik is a rare soul: a painter, poet, and musician whose gifts have been evident since early childhood. Among contemporary artists, she stands out to me not only for her extraordinary technical skill but for the transcendent quality of her work. I was completely stunned by his hasty bombing of Iran without congressional approval. Like you, I saw the writing on the wall and feared what might follow and be set in motion. It’s heartbreaking. I often wonder how many of those in power even know where Iran is on the map, let alone understand the depth of its extraordinary culture; the home of Rumi and Hafez, two poets who have profoundly shaped my worldview.
