Meanwhile, Trump just gave a red-carpet welcome to Netanyahu, a meeting that should concern every citizen of conscience. We cannot stand by while these two leaders pursue policies that risk the annihilation of the Palestinian people and the total destruction of Gaza and the West Bank; land eyed not for peace or reconstruction, but for profit, luxury, and power. Their shared ambitions hint at a future carved out for billionaire playgrounds and resource exploitation, not for justice or humanity.
And here in Australia, Liberal leader Peter Dutton has pledged unwavering support to both Trump and Netanyahu. Make no mistake: a Dutton-led Coalition government would be a willing accomplice in escalating conflict across the Middle East. If elected on May 3, they would not hesitate to entangle Australia in another disastrous war, echoing the worst mistakes of our past.
We cannot risk that future; not under Peter Dutton, and certainly not under his likely Treasurer, Angus Taylor. Informed Australians remember his record well: the Watergate water buyback scandal (2017), the Clover Moore document forgery (2019), Grassgate (2019), his repeated failures on energy policy (2018–2022), and his relentless opposition to renewables and climate action. Time and again, Taylor has shown poor judgment, political recklessness, and a lack of integrity.
Australia deserves leadership that is principled, future-focused, and accountable. On May 3, the stakes are high; and the choice could not be clearer.
