I watched over two hours of the five hour memorial, and was struck by how the majority of high profile speakers extol Kirk's service to Christ and how we must take his best virtues and become like that. Erica Kirk gave a moving and very honourable speech as did JD Vance. Erica will take over as CEO of Turning Point, the organisation that her husband founded. Most of the speeches by senior politicians however used the language of war and I lost count of the number of times 'fight' was used.
This was such a powerful opportunity to begin uniting the people of the USA and promote peace in the world.
