Over the past three days, I have blocked or unfriended a number of people whose posts on Facebook were offensive, disrespectful or rooted in the political and religious divide that is currently swelling. It is my choice not to host such immature, unkind or unhelpful energy on my wall.
Regular readers know that I have a simple policy: One strike and you’re out. At this stage in life, adults have already made their choices, consciously or unconsciously. Now is the time to join with like-minded people and nurture constructive, compassionate dialogue. Energy wasted on hostility or radical opposition only weakens the collective task of creating the world we want.
