'The Eye of God' nebula or The Helix Nebula is a planetary nebula located in the constellation Aquarius, at about 650 light years from the Earth. Discovered by Karl Ludwig Harding in the early 19th century, Helix is one of the closest of all the bright planetary nebulae. | The waters off the Pacific coast of northern Peru routinely build what has been called the world's longest wave. There's no way to know for sure, but the seemingly endless waves that roll up to the fishing town of Puerto Malabrigo are legendary among surfers. It is called Chicama, it occurs in a single point on the Peruvian coast, and it is the only wave in the world that is protected by law. Nothing can be built within a radius of two kilometres from that place, so nothing can affect its natural formation. |
