Heartbreaking tragedies are mounting daily in the Australian bushfires burning every state. 10 people have lost their lives with an unknown number injured. 1,000+ homes destroyed, an estimated 5+ million hectares or 12.5 million acres have been burnt, loss of crops, livelihoods, estimated half a billion animals killed, with habitats, food sources, vehicles, farm machinery destroyed.
Firies hospitalised for heat exhaustion, severe burns and dehydration. With 40+C temperatures (115 F in places) there is no foreseeable reprieve.

 You'd think the government would do everything possible to help the firies douse the flames and embers. It's not. It's too busy amassing weapons and promoting mining and drilling.
