Yesterday I wrote a meme about TRUE COLOURS ~ and during her party's Federal Budget speech Liberal senator and insider since 2005 Concetta Fierravanti-Wells added her voice to the criticism of her own party's leader PM Scott Morrison as a 'bully, autocrat, and not fit to be Prime Minister.'
The callous and corrupt ruling LNP with Morrison as its 'leader' and Barnaby Joyce NP as Deputy PM and other senior members are being called out for their unscrupulous behaviour, misogyny, corruption, inept and brutal decision-making. As a result, Australia no longer enjoys pride or respect at home or abroad.
We must all become innovators and leaders in our unique ways. Voters must become well-informed if we are to have a change of government in May. The LNP won the last election due to voter apathy, being lured by lies and LNP doing sweetheart deals with other far-right parties and independents. The LNP elites kowtow to the multi-billionaires and corporations and Newscorp, the Murdoch Press. It's clearly about power and following the money rather than the citizens they claim to represent.
Australians urgently need innovative, wise, compassionate leadership, which is sadly lacking in the current ruling LNP. In these times of intense challenges both at home and abroad with bushfires, floods, health issues, lockdowns, cessation of travel, 27 significant wars, mental health issues and food scarcity, citizens deserve much better than LNP's ineptitude, incessant self-absorption, factional infighting and waste of taxpayers money with disastrous decision-making.
The election in May must address the citizens' immediate and long-term needs, climate change, soil and river health, food production, environmental issues, and international relations. Labor has my vote but, if elected, has a massive task of cleaning up the mess and credibility before they can get on with the job of governing.
My heart goes out to all the people, animals, businesses and properties in Australia experiencing floods and flash flooding for the second time around within the month. Over 600mm of rain has fallen in 2 days on the east coast, and it's heading for A METRE of rain in places. Homes and businesses flooded, landslides, roads cut off, evacuations - much more help will be needed in the coming weeks and months.
