The 'peril' seems to relate almost entirely to human behaviour - or is that sub-human behaviour? Mother Earth would have plenty of room for 8 billion people if the conditioning that brings on hostility, envy and greed were magically removed from the human species.

Apropos dealing with disagreements and hostility, I was never taught nor learnt comprehensive mediation skills and profoundly effective conflict resolution skills, and so have made numerous errors in my relationships and dealings with others throughout my life. I've had to learn the hard way through trial and error and am still learning. I wonder how many others are just like me?
How good are YOU at self-assessment, vulnerability and being a clear and honest communicator with your partner? Parent? Sibling? Friend? Employer? Co-worker? Leader? Team? How good are you at speaking up? Clear communication? Resolving conflict?
Mediation and conflict resolution must be taught at an early age and then worked on all through life. So it's reassuring to know that it's never too late to take courses or teach ourselves these skills along with diplomacy and disagreeing in a clean, honouring and, on occasion, humorous manner.
