I will be reducing my social media presence for some time, although I will continue to check in regularly. I will focus on researching and writing my handbook on dying, grief and the afterlife, as well as maintaining my blog. However, before I retreat, I would like to draw your attention to three issues that are very important to me.
Firstly, my research has shown that in most countries, less than half of the adult population has an up-to-date will, and many still need to have their end-of-life affairs organised. Regardless of age, I would like you to please get your end-of-life documents and wishes in order.
Secondly, I am deeply concerned about the rising incidence of mental illness worldwide. I am particularly interested in the new initiative by the Indian mystic Sadhguru called 'The Miracle of the Mind'. Over the next two years, he wants to inspire more than 3 billion people to be still for 15 minutes daily to prevent a potential mental health crisis. He believes that if 3 billion people can find 15 minutes of silence daily, we can overcome the current crises together. You can learn more about this initiative in his online videos and articles.
Lastly, you may have noticed the rising food prices. Those who are relatively self-sufficient are less affected by the increases. That's why I encourage everyone to double, triple or quadruple their vegetable, herb and fruit gardens if possible and barter, give away or preserve any excess. Depending on the climatic conditions in your region, you may need to consider greenhouses or shade houses to protect your plants.
Wishing you all spectacular breakthroughs and sweet inner peace in 2024,
Cedar
