Think of the track a wallaby makes when seeking food and water — wandering here and there - either with purpose or where instinct suggests. That's what I'm doing now and perhaps for the next few years. Who knows when living instinctually like this? During the depression tens of thousands and millions worldwide (Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck) hit the road after homes were foreclosed or lost for a variety of reasons. JRR Tolkien quote: 'Not all who wander are lost' - applies to many of us. I'm a Wanderer On The Wallaby :) Perhaps I'll start a Movement of Peaceful Wanderers. No doubt many intentional travellers, ecotourists, backpackers, wwoofers, grey nomads etc could also be considered to be On The Wallaby of discovery, helping where they can - animals and land and people, mentoring, working with sacred places, healing and inspiring people, learning and growing.
