Mainstream and alternative media will be found guilty due to the extremely negative influence they had on the psyches, depression, anxiety, ill-health and suicides among the population in general. Broadcasters and influencers talk up the numbers of infected and deaths while very few ever referenced the millions who recovered. Negativity is about ratings and viewership little realising that positive news would garner many more viewers as citizens turn off such ill-conceived and lazy journalism in droves.
It's not too late for news reports to include recovery rates along with their continuous daily figures of infections and deaths.
Inspirational studies could also be made of some of the extraordinary creative endeavours, lifestyle changes, innovations and inventions that have emerged from householders since March 2020.
